Part of my MA Musical Theatre, Cycles is a 15 minute musical co-written with Claire Rivers that was originally performed at Goldsmiths College and subsequently picked up and produced by director and actor Tim McArthur and Jermyn Street Theatre.

Fitting in with the set theme of the Olympics, Cycles focuses on the story of Billy and his cycling dreams:

In a small village in rural Surrey, the annual county cycle race is taking place. Billy dreams of becoming an Olympic cyclist, and is fed up with being held back by the inhabitants of the village who do not want him to leave. Billy knows that if his father was still around, things would be different. After all, he founded the cycle race – how could he not want what’s best for his son?
